Background

The first and oldest block was constructed by the Buganda Kingdom under the rule of Kabaka Muteesa II as a Technical institution.  Later it was turned into a section of the Kitebi primary school for Junior one and Junior two and later on P.7 section.

In 1983 when the government wanted to have a secondary school in every sub-county, the community decided that the P.7 section be taken back to Kitebi primary school and the structure be used to start a secondary school in the area and it was given the name Kitebi Secondary school.
