Examination process
It is important to underatsnd that Uganda National Exaination Board briefing for students is a critical preparatory session conducted before candidates sit their national examinations. It familiarises learners with the examination guidelines, procedures and expectations they must observe throughout the examination period.

The briefing also provides an opportunity to clarify candidates’ responsibilities, address concerns and remind them of the consequences of examination malpractice. This helps minimise avoidable mistakes arising from unfamiliarity with the procedures and enables learners to approach their papers with greater confidence.

For the Senior Four candidates, the session marked an important transition from classroom preparation to the actual examination period, during which their knowledge and understanding would be assessed for the award of the Uganda Certificate of Education (UCE).

Beyond explaining examination procedures, the briefing was intended to ensure that every candidate understood the importance of discipline, honesty, punctuality and careful adherence to instructions.

The messages from the teachers and school leadership reinforced the importance of the relationship between preparation, personal responsibility and performance. Candidates were encouraged to make proper use of the time available to them, seek clarification whenever necessary and remain committed to doing their best.
