Kitebi Secondary School recognises outstanding performers at USSA National Ball Games

After an impressive performance at the Uganda Secondary Schools Sports Association (USSA) National Ball Games that were held in Gulu City, Kitebi Secondary School celebrated yet another remarkable milestone when one of our representative teams qualified for the East African Secondary Schools Games, representing both the school and Uganda.

At the USSA National Ball Games, Kitebi Secondary School was represented in several sporting disciplines, including football, volleyball, netball, traditional and contemporary dance, and board games. Throughout the tournament, the school’s teams displayed discipline, teamwork, resilience, and outstanding sportsmanship, reflecting the values that Kitebi Secondary School continues to instill in its learners.

The highlight of the tournament was the outstanding performance of the boys’ Ludo team, which qualified to represent Uganda at the forthcoming East African Secondary Schools Games. Their achievement reflects the commitment of the players, coaches, and the entire school community in promoting excellence both in academics and co-curricular activities.

In recognition of the learners’ dedication and exceptional performance, the Team Leader of Kitebi Secondary School, Hajj Muhammed Kamulegeya, presided over a special ceremony during which he presented medals to outstanding athletes who distinguished themselves during the national games.

Addressing the community of Kitebi Secondary School, Hajj Kamulegeya congratulated the entire sports team for representing the school with discipline, determination, and integrity. He commended the coaches, games teachers, parents, and school administration for their continued support in nurturing learners’ talents and creating opportunities for them to excel beyond the classroom.

Hajj Muhammed Kamulegeya also emphasised the importance of recognising and appreciating individuals for their hard work and achievements. He noted that acknowledging outstanding effort not only motivates learners to continue striving for excellence but also inspires others to work hard and realise their full potential.

Additionally, on behalf of Kitebi Secondary School, Hajj Kamulegeya thanked the Almighty for enabling us to secure a trophy, a symbol of the learners’ hard work, dedication, teamwork, and commitment to excellence.

The school also extends its sincere appreciation to every learner who represented Kitebi Secondary School at the national championships. Regardless of the results, each participant demonstrated commitment, teamwork, and the true spirit of sportsmanship.

As the boys’ Ludo team prepares to represent Uganda at the East African Secondary Schools Games, the entire Kitebi Secondary School community wishes them every success. We are confident they will continue to make the school and the nation proud through their talent, discipline, and determination.
